WARDANCE, a mid nineties Bay Area Metal band, would prominently feature the erstwhile EXODUS pairing of guitarist Gary Holt and drummer Tom Hunting. Fronted by John Miller the band cut demos and managed a handful of gigs before folding. Subsequently, Holt and Hunting, along with WARDANCE bassist Jack Gibson, re-forged EXODUS. In September of 2004 John Miller was set to join EXODUS for their South American shows following the firing of Steve 'Zetro' Souza. However, in a bizarre turn of events Gary Holt then publiclly slammed Miller claiming the songer was an "insane idiot and had one of his mental breakdowns the day before we were to leave".

In January 2005 bassist Jack Gibson, retaining his ties to EXODUS, joined VILE to record their album 'The New Age Of Chaos'.
