Biography

VAN HELSING'S CURSE is an interesting side-project of TWISTED SISTER frontman DEE SNIDER. Similar in concept and execution to the massively succesful TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA, the project saw a number of musicians coming together under the guidance of DEE SNIDER to create a Halloween themed Rock Opera.

The project was deemed to have significant interest enough to catch the interest of Koch Records. In 2003 the debut, 'Oculus Infernum' was released. The project featured a host of guest musicians including ex-TWISTED SISTER drummer Joe Franco and MARK WOOD on violin. The affair was a conceptual horror piece, written and narrated by Snider himself and featured atmopsheric re-workings of classical music pieces from such composers as Orff, Mussorgsky, Beethoven, Chopin, Holst, Paganini, Stravinsky, and Greig. The album even featured a cover of BLACK SABBATH's 'Let The Pain Begin'.

The ambitous project saw a few live dates on the East Coast of the USA during 2005.
