Following a long hiatus, former LODGIC and WORLD TRADE vocalist Billy Sherwood put the harder hitting Melodic Rock trio THE KEY together, recording two album's worth of material before eventually gaining a deal with the German based MTM Music label. Marty Walsh had previously worked with ex THIN LIZZY guitarist Scott Gorham in WESTERN FRONT and also spent time with SUPERTRAMP. The album contains an unlisted 'secret' eleventh track as a bonus.

Sherwood joined the veteran British act YES in 1997.
