In January 2007 HATE ETERNAL members vocalist / guitarist Randy Piro and guitarist Eric Hersemann, also associated with DIABOLIC and Chicago's LORD BLASPHEMER, revealed they had teamed up with drummer Grover Norton in a new Tampa, Florida based band called GIGAN, self-described as "outer-worldly extreme metal with progressive and psychedelic influences". GIGAN had been formulated during early 2006. A five track demo, recorded at Mana Studios in in St. Petersburg during December with engineer Brian Elliot, emerged in January 2007.
