Biography
A band project championed by ex-CITY BOY and STREETS guitarist Mike Slamer. The guitarist also lent his talents to the debut WARRANT album. His remit extends outside of musicianship however and as a producer his credits include such notables as HOUSE OF LORDS, BIG BANG BABIES, HARDLINE, TOWER CITY and MICHAEL SWEET. The band name seemingly belonged to Slamer as a band of the same name appeared in 1988 fronted by former YNGWIE MALMSTEEN singer MARK BOALS and including Slamer's ex-STREETS colleague, drummer Tim Gehrt.
The 'Metallic Blue' album sees vocals by Keith Slack, introduced to Slamer by former HOUSE OF LORDS vocalist JAMES CHRISTIAN. It included reworks of tunes composed by Slamer for other artists such as HOUSE OF LORDS 'Metallic Blue' and 'Find Your Way Home', HARDLINE's 'Dr. Love' and WALL OF SILENCE's 'Addicted'. Slamer played all guitars on the album. Both Chris Lane and Alan Hearn joined the group after the record was completed.
Slack landed the job of frontman for MICHAEL SCHENKER GROUP's 1999 American tour dates promoting their 'Unforgiven' album.
By 2000 Slack was fronting MUDPIE, a band including ex-RATT, MAX HAVOC and SALTY DOG drummer Khurt Maier with erstwhile WINTERKAT guitarist Jonathon Grell. During 2001 Slamer collaborated with MANFRED MANN vocalist CHRIS THOMPSON on his solo album 'Won't Lie Down'. Keith Slack joined the ranks of HEAVEN AND EARTH in May 2005.
