Biography
A minor supergroup. Drummer Vinny Appice was previously with RICK DERRINGER, performing on the albums 'Derringer', 'Sweet Evil' and 'Live', and AXIS, Rick Ramirez previously recorded with the early 70's outfit BOOMERANG and then Seattle's STRIKER and the PAMELA MOORE BAND whilst keyboard player Froom later joined Ronnie Montrose in GAMMA. Ramirez had been playing with ex-ANGEL vocalist Frank Dimino and former UFO keyboard player Paul Raymond in a side project which became THE RUFFIANS, but quit when BRUZER scored the deal with Handshake.
Vinnie Appice, brother of the legendary Carmine, had just left BLACK SABBATH following the 'Live Evil' opus and would re-join his erstwhile colleague Ronnie James Dio once BRUZER had run its course and Dio had put the wheels in motion for the formation of his solo band DIO. Following a successful run with DIO, Appice rejoined BLACK SABBATH for 1992's 'Dehumanizer' record then promptly slotted back into the DIO line-up.
Ramirez recorded an album with ex-VANILLA FUDGE guitarist Vince Martell that was set for release in 1998.
