RUBICON is best remembered for giving the world the duo of JACK BLADES and BRAD GILLIS, both of whom went on to enjoy megastardom with NIGHT RANGER, Both musicians have issued solo albums in subsequent years whilst retaining ties to NIGHT RANGER. As well as featuring in high profile projects such as DAMN YANKEES and SHAW BLADES, Blades also boasts an impressive array of songwriting credits with such artists as ALICE COOPER, STYX, OZZY OSBOURNE, AEROSMITH, CHER, GREAT WHITE, ROGER DALTREY and JOURNEY amongst many others.

RUBICON was a strange mix of Funk and Jazz Rock almost betraying their Bay Area roots. Drummer Kelly Keagy was involved in one of the final line-ups before RUBICON evolved into the Hard Rock oriented STEREO and then RANGER. With the addition of ex-MONTROSE, GAMMA and SAMMY HAGAR keyboard player Alan Fitzgerald and Brad Gillis returning from a touring stint with OZZY OSBOURNE, RANGER became NIGHT RANGER.
