RIVAL SCHOOLS is a much vaunted 2001 return for frontman Walter Schreifels. The singer, out of the limelight for many years since the demise of his last influential act QUICKSAND, can boast experience with GORILLA BISCUITS and YOUTH OF TODAY.

Originally entitled RIVAL SCHOOLS UNITED BY FATE, the band also numbers journeyman drummer Sam Siegler, a veteran of GORILLA BISCUITS, GLASSJAW, CIV, SHELTER, JUDGE and YOUTH OF TODAY, former CIV and ICEBURN bass player Cache Tolman and vocalist / guitarist Ian Love, previously with DIE 116 and BURN.

RIVAL SCHOOLS broke themselves in with a three week European tour before signing to Island Records for the 'United By Fate' debut album.
