Biography

Cleveland, Ohio Hardcore act RINGWORM, founded during 1990, is notably fronted by a singer simply known as "The Human Furnace" (a.k.a. James Bulloch) alongside TERROR guitarist and principal songwriter Frank Novinec. In early 1991 the formative RINGWORM released a self-titled demo. Their first album, entitled 'The Promise', followed on Incision Records during 1993 but the group folded shortly afterward. A brief reunion resulted in European shows in the Autumn of 1995. RINGWORM returned to action in 1998, crafting the demo 'Madness Of War' a year later.

A November 2001 album, 'Birth Is Pain' for Chicago's Victory Records, saw the band line-up quoted as The Human Furnace, guitarists Frank "3 Gun" Novinec, previously with FROM THE DEPTHS, DECREPIT and DEAD OF NIGHT, and Matt Sorg, bassist Aaron Ramirez and drummer Chros Dora. The band saw a line-up change when Ben Hollowell replaced Aaron Ramirez in early 2003. East Coast dates in April 2003 saw a package tour allied with TERROR and RAMALLAH, followed by gigs in May and June with ALL OUT WAR and then into July and August with PUNISHMENT and SHATTERED REALM. The road work continued into November 2004 with shows lined up with DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR. Victory Records announced the album 'Justice Replaced By Revenge' would be set for November 2005 issue.

Gigs in the USA throughout March 2006 had RINGWORM packaged with AUGUST BURNS RED, DEMIRICOUS and LIGEIA. Guitarist Frank Novinec joined HATEBREED that same month.

In March 2007 the group utilised Spider Studios in Strongsville, Ohio with Ben Schigel to cut the album 'The Ninth Circle'.
