Biography

A distinctly Southern flavoured power trio put together by guitarist ZAKK WYLDE following his exit from the OZZY OSBOURNE band. Immediately post Ozzy, the guitarist had toured North America with a band including ex-RONDINELLI, WHITE LION and ACE FREHLEY bassist James Lomenzo, erstwhile WHITE LION and ACE FREHLEY drummer Greg D'Angelo and keyboard player Kevin Jones. These dates culminated in supports to LYNYRD SKYNYRD. Wylde also toured live as part of the legendary ALLMAN BROTHERS replacing Dickey Betts.

The PRIDE AND GLORY band, issuing a 1994 album, was a distinctly 70's retro affair even featuring Zakk on banjo. On the live front, PRIDE AND GLORY supported WHITESNAKE's UK tour in July 1994.

The album featured former IN THE PINK drummer Brian Tichy. Lomenzo and Tichy remained together to tour with GUNS N' ROSES guitarist Slash in SLASH'S SNAKEPIT during 1995. Brian Tichy was touring with FOREIGNER during 1998 as he also put his own band B.A.L.L. together in Los Angeles taking up the role of a vocalist / guitarist. By 2000 he had joined the OZZY OSBOURNE band and in late 2001 was touting a new band project MIRROR DOWN.

Wylde returned to the scene with the raucous BLACK LABEL SOCIETY. Lomenzo would be found in the HULA MONSTERS and KILLER WHALES and would reunite with Wylde for the 2004 BLACK LABEL SOCIETY 'Ozzfest' shows. Brian Tichy reunited with Slash, acting as fill-in for Matt Sorum, who had fractured his wrist in a waterskiing accident, for US VELVET REVOLVER gigs in August 2005.
