In December 2006 BRUCE TURGON revealed a creative union with the MAGDALEN and UNRULY CHILD credited PHILIP BARDOWELL in a fresh band project dubbed PLACES OF POWER. Turgon, a highly respected force on the Melodic Rock scene, had first come to prominence during the 70s with the LOU GRAMM fronted BLACK SHEEP. He would subsequently work with the MICHAEL DES BARRES led PHOENIX, Los Angeles Heavy Metal band WARRIOR and a reunion with Gramm, alongside ex-DIO and WHITESNAKE guitarist VIVIAN CAMPBELL in SHADOWKING. Between 1992 and 2002 Turgon also operated with AOR veterans FOREIGNER, featuring on the 1995 album 'Mr. Moonlight'.

The PLACES OF POWER album 'Now Is The Hour' saw release in January 2009 through the Italian Frontiers label. Guitars on this session were provided by Scott McKinstry. Final tapes were mixed by PINK CREAM 69 bassist Dennis Ward.
