TONTO TONTO vocalist Nick Fowler worked as an associate editor on a magazine from the Sterling MacFadden publishing company whilst trying to tout his group around the labels. During 1992 Fowler secured a recording contract with Victory Music, the deal coming two years after Fowler had formed the group with guitarist Gregg Wattenberg.

Bassist Greg Smith was something of a veteran on the New York music scene. Previously with CINTRON (amongst others) he would later play with the likes of RAINBOW, ALICE COOPER and BLUE ÖYSTER CULT. Fowler has since contributed album reviews to 'Metal Edge' magazine.
