Heavy Metal band with obvious traditional British leanings and boasting a set of highly regarded musicians. HOLY MOTHER's influences from one particular Birmingham based band that they even had their advertising directly punning JUDAS PRIEST's 'Jugulator' opus. Vocalist Mike Tirelli was previously with LAST LIX and also has appeared on numerous BURNING STARR albums. Bassist RANDY COVEN started his career with the late 70's band MORNING THUNDER which featured guitarist STEVE VAI and RAINBOW keyboard player David Rosentahl. The bassist issued a solo album in 1989 'Funk Me Tender' which has STEVE VAI and Al Pitrelli as guests. Coven also appears on the 1991 BURNING STARR album 'A Minor Disturbance'. Coven also forged one third of the band C.P.R. which also comprised of ex-WIDOWMAKER, TALAS and ASIA hotshot guitarist Al Pitrelli and RAINBOW and BLUE ÖYSTER CULT drummer John O'Reilly for an eponymous album in 1993. Drummer Jim Harris has also sessioned for BURNING STARR. The band put in an appearance at the 1998 Wacken festival in Germany alongside RIOT and VIRGIN STEELE.

RANDY COVEN had an industrious 2000. As well as working on fresh HOLY MOTHER material the four stringer began recording a solo album titled 'Witchway'. The four stringer also joined two other bands to fill his spare time forming part of YNGWIE MALMSTEEN's new live band and uniting with the Swedish guitar God's band mates keyboard player Mats Olausson and drummer John Macaluso in A.R.K.

HOLY MOTHER donated their take on IRON MAIDEN's 'The Trooper' to the 'Slave To The Power' tribute record. During mid 2002 it would be revealed that Mike Tirelli had assembled a German / American project band billed as MESSIAH'S KISS, recording a debut album 'Prayer For The Dying' for the SPV label.

In 2005 Mike Tirelli would front veteran act RIOT for their appearance at the February 2005 'Atarfe Vega Rock' festival in Granada, Spain.
