A quintet of New York biker vixens backed by male musicians. CYCLE SLUTS FROM HELL was conceived in 1986 by five friends, Queen Vixen (Raffaele), Honey 1%er (Donna), She Fire Ice (Virginia Staska), Venus Penis Crusher (Betty Kallas) and Belle From Hell, at the Lismar Lounge biker bar in Manhattan. Belle From Hell soon opted out and, given encouragement by Joey Ramone following a debut gig at the Pyramid on Avenue A, the quartet soon started to make headway in the city. CYCLE SLUTS FROM HELL's second show was opening up for the RAMONES at the Ritz on 11th Street. Having rapidly built up a local New York following, the band scored a deal with major label CBS Records.

The first incarnation of the band saw guitars handled by famed RAMONES producer and ex-SHRAPNEL man Daniel Rey and Lord Roadkill (Pete Lisa), previously of FARENHEIT 451. Originally Tom Von Doom of THE GREAT KAT band performed bass duties with other band members credited as guitarist Chris Moffett plus Todd Schoonmaker and Scott Duboys on drums. Demo work in 1990 saw the DEADLY BLESSING, HITTMAN and later DORO credited Nick Douglas supplying bass guitar.

An album was recorded at The Hit Factory with producer Glen Robinson. OVERKILL's guitarist Bobby Gustafson and erstwhile SMASHED GLADYS bassist Fernando Rosario performed as session players. GENE SIMMONS of KISS was in talks with the band at one stage to act as producer but apparently his fee and points scale was more than enough to put the girls off. CBS put the band out on the road in Europe as support to MOTȪRHEAD, this trek generating acres of valuable media attention. The CYCLE SLUTS FROM HELL's infamous 'Wish You Were A Beer' video garnered heavy MTV rotation but label support in the USA was found wanting.

The band folded during 1991. Ex-CYCLE SLUTS FROM HELL members guitarist Chris Moffett and bassist Tom Von Doom subsequently forged MIGHTY JOE YOUNG. Of the girls, Venus Penis Crusher (Betty X) forged HANZYL UND GRETYL whilst Honey 1%er went on to SHE WOLVES with the infamous Gyda Gash.
