BOILER ROOM

Biography

New York Power Nu-Metal band BOILER ROOM, founded in 1995, was built upon the sibling Meselsohn rhythm section of bassist James and drummer Mike in collusion with frontman Chris Lino. The 1996 self financed debut album 'Low Society' would see guitarist Joey Barracato bowing out. The band, now with guitarist Rob Caggiano onboard, signed to major indie Roadrunner Records but with the release schedule for sophomore outing 'Can't Breathe' delayed BOILER ROOM switched to the Tommy Boy concern. 'Can't Breathe', produced by John Travis, finally arrived in November of 2000. A limited edition 7" single of 'Do It Again' / '4 x 4' also surfaced.

BOILER ROOM got in road work with both KITTIE and SPINESHANK but although 'Can't Breathe' saw a UK release in March of 2001 by April the group had folded. Caggiano would join premier league Thrashers ANTHRAX for their September 2001 American tour dates. James Meselsohn founded DUST TO DUST.
