Biography

AOR act that achieved massive international success with their 'Welcome To The Real World' album that contained the monster hits' Broken Wings' and 'Kyrie'.

MR. MISTER evolved from PAGES, a late 70's act that issued three albums and included vocalist Richard Page, keyboard player Steve George and drummer Pat Mastelotto.

Page aided REO SPEEDWAGON for backing vocals on their early 80's smash albums 'Hi-Infidelity', 'Good Trouble' and 'Wheels Are Turnin'.

MR. MISTER broke huge on the international scene with the massive radio hits 'Broken Wings' and 'Kyrie'.

As MR. MISTER the unit enrolled former EDDIE MONEY guitarist Steve Farris. The guitarist had also been invited to join KISS in a behind the scenes union which did not materialise.

1987's 'Go On' featured Lenny Castro on percussion and backing vocalists BILL CHAMPLIN of CHICAGO and sibling TAMARA CHAMPLIN.

Farris departed in 1989 to be replaced by former FULL MOON / PAUL BUTTERFIELD BLUES BAND man Buzz Feiten. Farris went into session work appearing on the Y KANT TORI READ album, GARY WRIGHT's 'Who I Am' and MARC JORDAN's 'Talking Through Pictures'. Later work included a session on ALICE COOPER's 'A Fistful Of Alice'.

Mastelotto was to resurface as a member of Rock veterans KING CRIMSON and would also perform with Pop outfits XTC, COCK ROBIN and THE REMBRANDTS. Mastelotto performs on the latter's international hit from the sitcom 'Friends'.

Page and Farris reunited for the former's 1996 solo album 'Shelter Me'. Farris, who had recorded with EDGAR WINTER too in 1996, later joined WHITESNAKE for their 1997/'98 'Last Hurrah' world tour and would then work with GARY WRIGHT.

'Broken Wings', or rather an updated Dance version of it, would be back in the charts during 2001 courtesy of New Zealand artist K.LEE.
