Biography
Matawan, New Jersey Heavy Metal band. FROSTBITE's debut, 'Icy Hell', reportedly sold around 10'000 copies and was, reportedly, rather big in Belgium. The record was co-produced by Phil De Carlo, CINDERELLA guitarist Jeff Le Bar and Frost. The second album eschewed melodic Hard Rock for a heavier Grind direction. For the 1997 release, produced by Steve Deacutis, FROSTBITE pulled in guest musicians such as PROPHET and SURGIN man Russell Arcara and SHOTGUN SYMPHONY's Charlie Calv.
In 1998 guitarist and band mentor JACK FROST helped form the side project THE BRONX CASKET CO alongside MISFITS vocalist Myke Hideous, OVERKILL drummer Tim Mallare and SHOTGUN SYMPHONY keyboard player Charlie Calv.
Jack Frost created a new act SEVEN WITCHES duly signing them to Germany's Massacre Records in late 1998. A further union on the Massacre label found Frost as a member of SPEEED with ex ANNIHILATOR vocalist Aaron Randell for the 'Powertrip Pigs' album. Frost's talents were then recognised by Power Metal veterans SAVATAGE who inducted the guitarist into their ranks for touring throughout 2001. Exiting from SAVATAGE in acrimonious circumstances Frost busied himself with SEVEN WITCHES once again.
2000 found Frost as part of the high profile German based METALIUM collective, featuring SAVATAGE guitarist Chris Caffrey. Frost played on the 'State Of Triumph' METALIUM album and through this connection his next port of call took him to SAVATAGE, replacing Al Pitrelli in 2001. Having toured Europe with SAVATAGE Frost was ousted by his predecessor in April of 2002. The guitarist returned in 2003, brandishing a solo album entitled 'Raise Your Fist To Metal' featuring a host of special guest contributors.
In March of 2006 Frost enrolled into the ranks of cult British Heavy Metal band MARSHALL LAW. However, this tenure proved brief and Frost did not record or play with the band, instead choosing to join BIRD OF PREY. In March 2007 it was learned that Frost was collaborating with ATTACKER frontman Bob Mitchell on new material for a Heavy Metal covers project dubbed FM, cutting versions of tracks by UFO, GILLAN, ACCEPT and JUDAS PRIEST branded 'Assylum Of Metal'.
Frost added to his wealth of high profile credentials by appearing as second guitarist with LIZZY BORDEN at the April 28th 2007 Metal Blade Records 25th Anniversary Showcase at the New England Metal And Hardcore Festival.
