A Boston based Hard Rock band, THE DREAM were formed by the union of two acts ADRENALINE and DIRECTION in 1981. As THE DREAM the band opened for NIGHT RANGER and scored local radio airplay. Their stature was such that they were able to sell the rights to their name to CBS television for a series based on a ficticious act titled DREAM.

With the departure of both David Rich and Peter Hunt from THE DREAM in 1986, Hunt joining THE BURN, the band, pulling in ex DAEMON bassist Pat Badger, witilly changed their name to EXTREME soon garnering international recognition with a string of hit singles and albums. Cherone of course briefly fronted VAN HALEN. Subsequent acts for the singer included TRIBE OF JUDDAH and HURTSMILE upfront of an EXTREME reformation.
