Biography

A heavyweight union of former DOKKEN personnel guitarist GEORGE LYNCH and bassist Jeff Pilson. Whilst both had achieved fame with the platinum Hard Rock act DOKKEN during the 80s the pair had made an impression with other ventures such as Pilson as a member of DIO and Lynch with his own LYNCH MOB. Pilson also featured in the fictitious band STEEL DRAGON for the movie 'Rock Star'.

In mid 2002 Lynch revealed details of a new solo album comprising reworks of tracks from his career to date. Featured were set to be remakes of DOKKEN and LYNCH MOB songs with DOKKEN and LYNCH/PILSON bassist Jeff Pilson vocalising on the DOKKEN songs whilst Robert Mason handled the LYNCH MOB material. Anthony Esposito took on bass and ex-JET RED drummer Fro (a.k.a. Michael Frowein) also got involved.

LYNCH/PILSON's 'Wicked Underworld' album was scheduled for an April 2003 release through the Spitfire label. When it emerged the general consensus from fans was that the record was a fine return to past form for both musicians. In June of 2003 it was revealed that Lynch had embarked upon a further side project dubbed MICRODUST, a union with SNAKE RIVER CONSPIRACY guitarist Jason Slater. This venture would soon be sidelined though as the guitarist duly resurrected LYNCH MOB.

Jeff Pilson cut bass tracks for a DIO album in early 2004 before re-activating WAR AND PEACE for another album 'The Walls Have Eyes'. As part of his new live band Pilson drafted Fro on drums. In August Lynch and Pilson re-united in the recording studio to cut a cover of FRANK MARINO's 'In My Ways' for a tribute album though WildMess Records entitled 'Secondhand Smoke'.
