The original line-up of SAHARA before the band relocated to Los Angeles from their original base comprised of vocalist Liz Vandell, guitarist Phil Woodward, bassist Pat Kara, keyboard player Diane Kornarens (originally the bassist with AVATAR) and drummer Kevin Miller. The latter departed to be replaced by British session drummer Trevor Thornton whose previous credits include WALK ON FIRE and ASIA. Promoting the 'Goin' Crazy' album, the band acted as support to VIRGIN STEELE's European tour dates in July of 1993. Diane Kornarens quit in the middle of 1995.

Ex-SAHARA singer Liz Vandell would guest on ULI JON ROTH's 'Prologue To The Symphonic Legends' album. Relocating to Wales, Vandell would grace subsequent works from the fabled German guitarist.
