ROADCREW was originally the pre GUNS N' ROSES act that included ex-LONDON guitarist Slash, Seattle refugee bassist DUFF McKAGAN and drummer Steven Adler. Upon his sacking from GUNS N' ROSES, Adler resurrected ROADCREW with VAIN frontman DAVY VAIN. Also involved in the new unit would be VAIN members guitarist Jamie Scott and bassist Ashley Mitchell with second guitarist Shawn Rorie from SISTER STRANGE. Although the revived ROADCREW was short-lived, Adler did get some consolation from GUNS N' ROSES in the form of a $2.5 million out of court settlement emanating from an action brought by the drummer claiming GUNS N' ROSES had caused his drug addiction.

Adler was found in FREAKS IN THE ROOM during 1996 and briefly joined BULLETBOYS in 1998. He made a more substantial return to the scene with the industrious ADLER'S APPETITE.
