Los Angeles Hard Rock outfit POPULATION 5, operating in the late 1980s, provided a fertile breeding ground for a clutch of well known musicians in their formative years. Guitarists Christopher Stewart and Danny Stagg plus bass player Johnny B. Frank all formed up an early line-up of WW III with Mandy Lion and drummer Skip Gillette. Stagg subsequently made his name with KINGDOM COME whilst Stewart joined JOHNNY CRASH. Drummer Matt Sorum carved his reputation with THE CULT, GUNS N' ROSES and VELVET REVOLVER.
