Featuring former VANILLA FUDGE, CACTUS and BECK, BOGERT AND APPICE bassist TIM BOGERT, MARCUS was the vehicle for singer Marcus Malone. The group would record a solitary album for United Artists in 1976 that turned out to be a vastly underrated piece of work, although the main man seemingly disappeared after its release.

Interestingly, drummer Dandy Holmes resurfaced in the ranks of SABU in 1980. Guitarist Gene Bloch was to re-appear in the mid 80s playing guitar in the HOLLY KNIGHT fronted DEVICE under the name of Gene Black and contribuited to a host of sessions elsewhere.

The band had their track 'Black Magic' covered on OVERDRIVE and LOCOMOTIVE BREATH guitarist Janne Stark's November 2006 MOUNTAIN OF POWER tribute collection.
