The solitary ELECTRIC LOVE HOGS album was in the main produced by Mark Dodson, although MÖTLEY CRÜE drummer Tommy Lee handled production for two tracks ('Sittin' Pretty' and 'Just Another Day'). John Feldmann and Donny Campion had played in a number of bands together before meeting Bobby Fernandez ('Bobby Hewitt') in San Diego. Kelly Lemieux joined the band following auditions, whilst former WASTED YOUTH guitarist David 'Torres' Cushner teamed up with the ELECTRIC LOVE HOGS a year down the line.

Tommy Lee got involved with the band having caught one of their shows in which they delivered a medley of JIMI HENDRIX's 'Foxy Lady' and MÖTLEY CRÜE's 'Shout At The Devil'. At a show some time afterwards Lee insisted on jamming with the band and expressed an interest in producing

The album features FISHBONE's Norwood Fisher and Rap singer Bronx-style Bob, both of whom participated in a 28 piece combo amusingly titled TRULIO DISGRACIAS with David Cushner at the time. Also making an appearance are JANE'S ADDICTION drummer Stephen Perkins and SUICIDAL TENDENCIES bassist Robert Trujillo.

The band toured with L.A. GUNS in America and opened for UGLY KID JOE in Britain. Post ELECTRIC LOVE HOGS, Bobby Hewitt came to the fore with ORGY.

Cushner would later join DANZIG in 1997. Drummer Bobby Fernandez adopted the new surname of 'Hewitt' to become drummer for platinum act ORGY.
