Biography

An album project undertaken by respected solo guitarist RICK DERRINGER along with VANILLA FUDGE and CACTUS drummer CARMINE APPICE. Keyboards would be delegated to CACTUS man Duane Hitchings. D.N.A. was signed in North America to the late ex-Casablanca boss Neil Bogart's Boardwalk label. The resulting 1983 'Party Tested' album was released through Polydor Records in Europe.

Appice put KING KOBRA together after the inevitable conclusion of the project after the album failed to make much of an impact. Jimmy Johnson continued as a session player. Derringer returned to his solo career and also became involved in production. He was also live guitarist for 80's Pop star CYNDI LAUPER.
