DAD'S PORNO MAG, a Los Angeles power pop trio, was created when erstwhile CANDY and ELECTRIC ANGELS guitarist Ryan Roxie united with bassist Will Evetts and drummer Matt Sorum. The latter is also a member of GUNS N' ROSES whilst Evetts plays on ex-GUNS N' ROSES guitarists GILBY CLARKE two solo albums, as indeed does Roxie having been in CANDY together with Clarke.

Roxie was to succumb to an offer he could not refuse to be part of ALICE COOPER's '96 / '97 touring band and DAD'S PORNO MAG were put on ice for the duration of 18 months. However, upon the tour's completion the band reactivated, this time with drummer Mike Fasano (another Gilby Clarke recording musician), PRIDE AND GLORY and B.A.L.L. drummer Brian Tischy, bassist Johnny G. and PRETTY BOY FLOYD and RATT guitarist Keri Kelli to record a self financed album for Wax-Tone Records. Roxie also had his own signature guitar on sale in the form of the GMP Roxie SS.

All three members of DAD'S PORNO MAG contributed to GILBY CLARKE's 1998 solo album 'Rubber' and Roxie was reported to have linked up with former GUNS N' ROSES guitarist Slash to assist in the recording of the tousle haired one's second solo album in 1998.

Later live work saw DAD'S PORNO MAG with former L.A. GUNS man Steven Adika on bass and KISS man Eric Singer on drums. Fasano joined WARRANT.

Roxie, Adika and Singer would also perform on the Los Angeles club circuit billed as GLAMNATION before Roxie and Singer were enticed away to join ALICE COOPER's touring band. Tischy joined OZZY OSBOURNE's band in 2000. Kelli joined WARRANT for tour work.
