BLACK ROSE was a one-off project put together by CHER and then boyfriend Les Dudek following the break up of the one-time Disco diva's relationship with KISS bassist GENE SIMMONS. The resulting album was a very underrated slice of Californian Pop Rock. The bulk of the songs were from outside sources, 'You Know It', penned by Dudek, being the only 'band' composition as such.

Whilst CHER later returned to such rocky roots with her 1987 comeback album with Geffen Records, Thompson and Ferguson had reunited in 1984 backing ex-JOURNEY vocalist Robert Fleischman in the equally short-lived CHANNEL. Ferguson was later employed in erstwhile THIN LIZZY guitarist GARY MOORE's outfit.

Guitarist Ron 'Rocket' Richotte turned up in the ranks of STAN BUSH & BARRAGE by the mid 80's, had a stint with STEPPENWOLF and was added to DAVID LEE ROTH's band as a replacement for STEVE VAI in 1989.
