Founded in 2002, LO-PRO feature in their ranks former ULTRASPANK vocalist Pete Murray and guitarist Neil Godfrey along with former SNOT and AMEN bassist Jon "Tumor" Fahnestock and ex-GODSMACK and LILLIAN AXE drummer Tommy Stewart, a man also having former ties to LESTREGUS NOSFERATUS and HALLOWS EVE. The band signed to 413 Records, the imprint owned by STAIND frontman Aaron Lewis, for a Don Gilmore produced debut.

During 2005 Fahnestock forged a new band, KCUF alongside former GWAR merchandise seller Crazy White Sean.
