A band essentially put together by Shrapnel Records boss Mike Varney. LE MANS contributed the otherwise unreleased track 'Waiting' to Varney's 'U.S. Metal Volume II' compilation, whilst Derek Frigo cut the instrumental 'Powerplay' for the ensuing 'Volume III'. Peter Marrino collaborated with Varney guitar discovery Bob Gilles on the third volume in the hastily titled GILLES MARRINO ASSAULT with 'We Live For Rock'

For 'U.S. Metal Volume IV' Derek Frigo teamed up with LE MANS guitar partner Josh Ramos under the handle of RAMOS-FRIGO FIRING SQUAD touting the impressively titled 'Death By Guitar'

The second album, released in 1986, features Marrino, Frigo and Stavropoulos plus new bassist Brett Bloomfield, formerly with Los Angeles based soft rockers SNAIL, and Josh Ramos' replacement Johnny Johnson and was once more produced by Mike Varney. Keyboards were courtesy of ex RAINBOW man David Stone. The group split after a final line-up in 1987 found ex-Y&T drummer Leonard Haze enrolled.

Whilst Derek Frigo added to his fame with a lengthy tenure back in Chicago with ENUFF Z' NUFF, Stavropoulos later joined a Peter Marrino fronted CACOPHONY. He would unite again with Bloomfield in BIG BAD WOLF, an outfit centred upon STARSHIP guitarist CRAIG CHAQUICO. Bloomfield later turned up in DEEP PURPLE vocalist IAN GILLAN's solo touring band. Marrino would front San Francisco's 9.0 for their 1990 album 'Too Far Gone'.

Ramos was later to be found as a member of THE VIEW, a band assembled by JOURNEY's rhythm section of Ross Valory and Steve Smith and fronted by 707 vocalist Kevin Chalfont. THE VIEW evolved into THE STORM. Ramos figured as part of TWO FIRES in 2000.

2004 saw Marrino back in the spotlight, albeit in the rather unexpected guise as the self "greatest Ozzy impersonator on Earth" fronting the OZZY OSBOURNE tribute band OZZY UNAUTHORISED alongside NIGHT RANGER and ex-OZZY OSBOURNE guitarist BRAD GILLIS.

During 2008 Josh Ramos hooked up with the HUGO, OPEN SKYZ and VALENTINE credited vocalist Hugo to convene RAMOS-HUGO for an October album 'The Dream'.
