Biography

A Progressive Metal act ahead of their time. As with so many acts of the time JUGGERNAUT, having first demoed during 1984, debuted with a track inclusion on the Metal Blade 'Metal Massacre' compilation series. For their 1986 record 'Baptism Under Fire' the band numbered vocalist Harlan Glenn, guitarist Eddie Katilius, bass player Scott Womack and drummer Bobby Jarzombek.

JUGGERNAUT were fronted by vocalist Steve Cooper of S.A. SLAYER for the second album, '1987's 'Trouble Within'.

Jarzombek later recorded the 'Thundersteel' album with the legendary New York outfit RIOT before founding SPASTIK INK then joining HALFORD in 2000. By 2002 the drummer had united with HALFORD guitarist Mike Chlasciak in a new outfit PAIN MUSEUM. Latterly Womack would found Southern Rockers the JAY B. ELSTON BAND alongside ex-BILOXI drummer Rory Faciane.

JUGGERNAUT vocalist Steve Cooper died in the early morning hours of May 14th 2006 at a San Antonio, Texas hospital. A diabetic, Cooper had been in ill health and on kidney dialysis for several years prior to his untimely passing.
