DREAM THEATER guitarist JOHN PETRUCCI put out solo product with the album 'Suspended Animation' emerging in 2005. A G3 "Mini tour" of Japan in May found Petrucci, utilising a band comprising Dave LaRue on bass and DREAM THEATER's Mike Portnoy on drums, flanking JOE SATRIANI and STEVE VAI.

Petrucci's next stint on the G3 tours came in March 2007 for North American shows packaged with JOE SATRIANI and PAUL GILBERT.
