Jacksonville Power Metal band ODYSSEY is rooted in a prior act by the title of ORACLE, having issued the 1993 cult classic album 'As Darkness Reigns'. With the demise of this unit singer William Wren enrolled into MYSTIC FORCE whilst drummer Brent Smedley found recognition with TEMPEST REIGN and ICED EARTH. The band members regrouped in 2004 under the revised billing of ODYSSEY, at first featuring James MacDonough, a veteran of MAD AXE, DELTA 9, INVADER, BRUTAL ASSAULT and ICED EARTH, on bass. Kevin Reid took over bass duties as the band signed to the German Massacre label.
