Biography

PALE DIVINE combine traditional Metal, Psychedelia and a self confessed reverence for Doom pioneers PENTAGRAM. The group first made their mark with a 1997 five track demo 'Crimson Tears'. A second session was recorded the following year but withheld after original bass player Jay Purnell decamped. PALE DIVINE inducted Jim Corl as substitute for live work before he too was to leave. Larry Stout of DOGMA HOLLOW was drawn into the fold for an appearance at the 'Stoner Hands Of Doom' festival this latest four stringer then relinquished his position. The return of Corl to the ranks brought some much needed stability.

Plans to issue a 7" single of PENTAGRAM's '20 Buck Spin' through Game Two Records evolved into a full blown album deal. As it transpired PENTAGRAM's own Bobby Liebling was impressed enough to guest on the '20 Buck Spin' track. Liebling got so involved he even scores lyric credits and vocals to the previously instrumental close out track 'Dark Knight'.

In early 2003 Darin McCloskey revealed his participation in the FALCON project band, a union with DESTINY'S END and ARTISAN guitarist Perry Grayson and CIRITH UNGOL guitarist Greg Lindstrom.

The 2004 PALE DIVINE album 'Eternity Revealed', closing out with a rendition of 'Solitude' originally by CANDLEMASS, would be promoted by a run of June US dates allied with PLACE OF SKULLS.
