Biography

GEORGE BELLAS has issued a string of neo-classical Rock guitar solo work outs. He would though come to prominence as part of the band MOGG/WAY, led by the UFO duo of vocalist PHIL MOGG and bassist PETE WAY. The guitarist's debut solo album 'Turn Of The Millennium' would be released by Shrapnel Records in May of 1997. Studio musicians accompanying Bellas included bassist Kevin Chown as well as drummers Brad Kaiser, Mike McCarron and OZZY OSBOURNE and GEEZER man Deen Castronova. The album had actually been recorded in December of 1996 but was held until after the release of the MOGG/WAY album 'Edge Of The World' to afford maximum exposure.

During this period Bellas would also contribute heavily to the JOHN WEST album 'Mind Journey'. Another GEORGE BELLAS solo effort 'Mind Over Matter' arrived in February 1998. Bellas retained the services of Castronova and also enlisted ex YNGWIE MALMSTEEN bassist Barry Sparks for this workout.

During 2001 Bellas busied himself not only with his own act AUDIODROME but in the MARK BOALS fronted 'Supergroup' RING OF FIRE, appearing on the latter's 'The Oracle' album. The following year Bellas featured on the album 'Hundred Year Flood' by Progressive Rock outfit MAGELLAN.
