The GATOR COUNTRY BAND, announced during 2005, boasts a strong lineage through the ranks of the esteemed MOLLY HATCHET, with vocalist Jimmy Farrar, guitarists Duane Roland and Steve Holland, bassist Riff West and drummer Bruce Crump all holding a tradition with the veteran Southern Rock act between 1978 and 1991. Both Farrar and Roland also hold SOUTHERN ROCK ALLSTARS credentials whilst the singer has also fronted BLACK MOLLY. Crump has ties to DADDY-OH! and SMILEK, Holland to ICE and West to ANGEL, WHITE WITCH and THE CHESSMEN. The band's only non MOLLY HATCHET campaigner would be third guitarist, Virginian Linne Disse of DADDY-OH!, BAMBOOZLED, JUSTUS, TROPICAL JOHNSON, BLUE LIGHT SPECIAL, THE PRESS and HAPPY VAN GOGH repute.

Duane Roland passed away on June 20th 2006. In late July the group announced a suitably high profile replacement in Former UFO and WAYSTED guitarist PAUL CHAPMAN.
