Los Angeles, California based Hard Rock ECOTONIC notably features singer Jason Ebs, hailing from Camden, New Jersey and former member of the PETER CRISS band, and erstwhile URIAH HEEP, THE FIRM, ASIA, 100 PROOF, THE BIG BALL STARS, DAMAGE CONTROL and AC/DC drummer Chris Slade. Ebs had previously issued a 2005 solo album 'Twisted Roots'. The group, also featuring Santa Barbara based vocalist Janea Chadwick, was first assembled in May 2005 and billed as JASON & JANEA. Album sessions saw the inclusion of session men Les July on bass and Scot Bihlman on drums. Upon completion of these tracks ECOTONIC drafted Chris Slade and bassist Daniel Schiffer.

The band gave its first live performance, in support of debut album 'Electrified', on March 3rd at the San Diego Indie Music Fest III.
