DAMN THE MACHINE

Biography

Political edged Progressive Metal featuring former MEGADETH guitarist CHRIS POLAND. Bassist Dave Clemmons was ex-MURDERCAR. The 1993 album was lent heady praise but the band called it a day after this sole effort. A now highly sought after promotion single 'Silence' included exclusive cover versions of ALVIN LEE's 'I'd Love To Change The World' and KING CRIMSON's 'Cat Food'. US gigs in September had DAMN THE MACHINE packaged with VOIVOD and CLUTCH prior to a European trek opening for DREAM THEATER in November.

Clemmons would decamp and, pulling in singer John Skipp, the band faltered on as MUMBO'S BRAIN before disbanding. Dave Clemmons later turned up in JUD whilst Poland reverted back to solo outings plus the OHM endeavour with brother Mark.
