Despite releasing a Tom Allom produced debut album of immense class the Butch Stone (BLACK OAK ARKANSAS) managed COBRA were to flounder and in hindsight have become more noted for their ex members achievements. Vocalist JIMI JAMISON, an erstwhile member of TARGET, landed the role of singer for SURVIVOR fronting that act during it's highly successful 'Vital Signs' era.

Guitarist Mandy Meyer had stints with KROKUS, ASIA and ASHTON. Both bassist Tommy Keiser and drummer Jeff Klaven also did a tour of duty with KROKUS. Jack Holder (a former BLACK OAK ARKANSAS member) appeared on DRAMA's 'Scene From A Distance' album and is credited for the guitar solos. He later produced the 'Kick The Wall' album from JIMMY DAVIS & THE JUNCTION in 1987.

The 'First Strike' album has since been issued on CD in Germany through Epic.
