Biography

SOULLESS evolved out of Cleveland Thrashers BLOODSICK during 1997. BLOODSICK was founded upon former DECREPIT drummer Chris Dorn, ex-DECIMATION vocalist Jim Lippucci, guitarists Brian Sekula- formerly with MORTICIAN- and Todd Thozeski and bassist Chris Pello.

Sekula's exit saw the enlistment of erstwhile APT. 213 and BLOODSICK guitarist Jerry Kessler and when both Pello and Thozeski quit the numbers were made up with Kessler's former APT. 213 collague Tony Daprano on bass and second guitarist Wayne Richards. With such a radical facelift the band opted for the revised title of SOULLESS.

Following recording of the 1999 debut album 'The Darkening Of Days' Kessler bowed out to be supplanted by former HOLY GHOST, DAHMER and ALL THAT IS EVIL man Jim Corrick. Richards meantime would deputize for the notorious NUNSLAUGHTER as live guitarist for their 2000 Euopean shows.

Extracurricular activity would see SOULLESS put in showings on a veritable slew of tribute albums having cut renditions of OZZY OSBOURNE's 'The Ultimate Sin', JUDAS PRIEST's 'Hell Bent For Leather', W.A.S.P.'s 'Tormentor' and METALLICA's 'Motorbreath'.

Dorn and Richards would form up part of THE SPAWN OF SATAN 2002 project band also involving NUNSLAUGHTER's Jim Satanic for a shared split album with BLOODSICK. Crash Music re-issued the 'Agony's Lament' album in 2003.

In October 2006 SOULLESS announced they had signed with Japanese label WorldChaos Productions for an album 'Forever Defiant', recorded at Spider Studios in Strongsville, Ohio with producer Ben Schigel and mastered by Jonas Kjellgren at Black Lounge Studios.
