Biography

Based in Los Angeles, the CHINA BLUE Progressive Rock project was announced in spring 2006. Those involved included British singer TONY MILLS, of SHY and SIAM repute, ALIBI guitarist Michael Riesenbeck, bassist Rev Jones of BLACK SYMPHONY and the MICHAEL SCHENKER GROUP, Eric Ragno of VOX TEMPUS and TAKARA on keyboards and drummer Zane Peterson of MALICIOUS and CONDITIONED RESPONSE.

Mills met with high profile Norwegian act TNT in May 2006 to discuss his potential role as replacement singer for the recently departed Tony Harnell. He duly secured this position. Eric Ragno sessioned for album recordings by THE STORM and TWO FIRES guitarist Josh Ramos' project RAMOS that same year and also featured on the AMERICAN ANGEL 'Vanity' sessions.

That same year Ragno Parga headed up the SAVAGE PARADISE studio act, this unit featuring ex-BLACK SABBATH vocalist TONY MARTIN, guitarist MARIO PARGA, ALCATRAZZ bassist Tim Luce and drummer Kevin Valentine. Subsequently Martin was replaced by erstwhile RAINBOW singer GRAHAM BONNET.

CHINA BLUE returned in December 2008 with 'Twilight Of Destiny'. These sessions were once again fronted by Tony Mills. However, Michael Riesenback had been replaced by Josh Ramos of HARDLINE and THE STORM and Doug Odell was newly installed on bass. Guest studio musicians included guitarist Ronny Smith, drummer Pete Newdeck and bassist Fabrizio Grossi.
