RAVAGE issued the demos 'Kill Or Be Killed' in 1986 and 'On We Slay' the following year. RAVAGE lead vocalist Kyle Michaels would enroll with BLACK SABBATH bassist Geezer Butler's solo band for a short spell in early 1987. Following this liaison Michaels hooked up with erstwhile W.A.S.P. guitarist Randy Piper in ANIMAL then BIRD OF PREY, a band comprising ex-ARMORED SAINT personnel. Latter works included a stint with Italian guitarist MASI.

July 2004 had Michaels working with the DAVID SHANKLE GROUP. However, later that same year the singer forged his own ROSEWATER project. Collaborators would include former FIERCE HEART, WHITECROSS and KING JAMES guitarist REX CARROLL and the veteran figure of MIKE TERRANA on drums, a man with a tradition tracking through BEAU NASTY, HANOVER FIST, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, AXEL RUDI PELL, METALIUM and RAGE. Michaels resurrected the BIRD OF PREY band name in May of 2005.
