LORD BLASPHEMER

Biography

Chicago extreme Metal act LORD BLASPHEMER dated back to 1989. The band's second demo, 1991's 'We Love To Kill', provoked interest from a number of labels, including the UK Peaceville concern, but the band folded. At the hand of bass player / vocalist Erik Pertl a revised incarnation of the band rose up once more in 1997, re-debuting with the demos 'Spiral Caverns Of The Occult' in 1998 and 'Visions Of Hatred' in 1999. The album 'Tales Of Misanthropy, Bloodlust And Mass Homicide' was recorded with the aid of session drums from Jim Kerley. In April 2002 Narcyz Fortuna of HURT LOCKER enrolled as drummer.

Guitarist Eric Hersemann decamped in 2002 to join Florida's DIABOLIC. Josh Trevino took his place and former comrade Jim Kerley also resumed his position at the drum kit. Hersemann enrolled into the ranks of HATE ETERNAL in May 2005. Eric Hersemann subsequently forged the GIGAN project in union with HATE ETERNAL vocalist / guitarist Randy Piro and drummer Grover Norton.
