Not to be confused with the Danish CORPSE VOMIT which issued a 2000 album through Mighty Music, the US band was founded in Chicago during 1993 by vocalist / guitarist Matt McClelland, guitar player Pat Clancy and drummer Garrett Scanlon. Two years later CORPSE VOMIT added bass player Brice Dalzell as the act issued the demos 'Gathering Chemical Children' and 'Bastards Of Forever Filth'. Dalzell left in 1998, forging THE EVERSCATHED alongside vocalist / bassist Bill Frickenstein and drummer Tim Frickenstein of ENMORTEM, as CORPSE VOMIT enlisted Mike Dooling of CINERARY.

McClelland, Scanlan and Clancy also operated CUMCHRIST. Scanlan and Clancy also have another side project entitled L.S.B. During 2005 Matt McClelland, Pat Clancy, Mike Dooley and Garrett Scanlon, working with YAKUZA singer Bruce Lamont, returned en masse with IBEX.
