Guitarist BUCKETHEAD (a.k.a. Brian Carroll), named for his bizarre practice of wearing a white mask and fast food bucket on his head, famously made his name performing with GUNS N' ROSES, joining the Axl led act in 2000. He had earlier carved an underground reputation with THANATOPSIS. Despite the outlandish nature of his visual image Buckethead's precision when it comes to his craft has fostered a sizable underground following. An accomplished multi-instrumentalist, his solo work, commencing with 1992's 'Bucketheadland', incorporates pastiches from wide ranging genres as polarised as speed Metal guitar to drum n' bass.

He had made his presence felt initially as member of San Francisco Funk band the DELI CREEPS. The inaugural solo offering 'Bucketheadland' was an ambitious toy themed double disc album released in Japan through John Zorn's Avant label. Subsequently Buckethead found a home in Bill Laswell's PRAXIS and scored soundtrack credits with movies such as 'Last Action Hero' and 'Street Fighter'. Following completion of the 1999 solo opus 'Monsters And Robots' the guitarist made an unexpected move into the ranks of GUNS N' ROSES. He would tour with the 80s Rock mega-band, debuting at the 2001 'Rock In Rio' festival, and lay down recordings for the drawn out 'Chinese Democracy' album, although his solo output remained steady.

For a 2005 solo album, 'Enter The Chicken', he signed to Serj Tankian's of SYSTEM OF A DOWN's Serjical Strike label. Tankian also produced the record and guested on the tracks 'Waiting Here' and 'We Are One'. Other studio guests included Saul Williams, Efrem Schulz of DEATH BY STEREO, Maura Davis of DENALI and BELLA LEA, Azam Ali of VAS and NIYAZ, BAD ACID TRIP, Maximum Bob from the DELI CREEPS, Gigi, Shana Halligan and Ani Maldjian.
