Biography
BRAD GILLIS made his name as guitarist for Platinum Melodic radio Rockers NIGHT RANGER and as Randy Rhoads replacement in the OZZY OSBOURNE band, featuring on the live 'Talk Of The Devil' album. Featured musicians on the 1993 'Gilrock Ranch' album are ex-VANILLA FUDGE, KING KOBRA and OZZY OSBOURNE drummer CARMINE APPICE, DREAM THEATER keyboard player Derek Sherinian, NIGHT RANGER drummer Kelly Keagy, DAMN YANKEES drummer Michael Cartellone and vocalist GREGG ALLMAN of THE ALLMAN BROTHERS.
The 2000 album 'Alligator' sees Gary Moon on vocals and Keagy once more on drums. Ongoing live work with NIGHT RANGER would be complemented by an unexpected diversion in 2004 as Gillis hooked up with the "greatest Ozzy impersonator on Earth" Peter Marrino, a man noteworthy for having fronted LE MANS and CACOPHONY, to form up the OZZY OSBOURNE tribute band UNAUTHORIZED OZZY. Taking a step into far heavier territory than expected, Gillis joined San Francisco Thrash Metal veterans VICIOUS RUMORS in October 2005.
The guitarist featured on the VAN HALEN song 'Atomic Punk' included on the tribute album '80s Metal Tribute To Van Halen' released by Deadline Records in September 2006.
