Biography
A 2002 union of high profile Nu-Metal veterans. Initially billed as MOTHRA the band comprised ONESIDEZERO frontman Jason Radford, the SNOT and SOULFLY credited guitarist Mike Doling, ONESIDEZERO guitarist Levon Sultanian, ex-SNOT and AMEN bassist Jon 'Tumor' Fahnestock with former THORN, CRISIS, SOULFLY, OZZY OSBOURNE and MEDICATION drummer Roy Mayorga.
The group evolved into ABLOOM in the summer of 2003, debuting under this title with a support gig to LO-PRO, also featuring Fahnestock, on 20th June at the Viper Room, West Hollywood, California.
During October of that year guitarist Mike Doling, bassist Marcello D. Rapp and drummer Roy Mayorga all defected from SOULFLY in order to prioritise ABLOOM. However, in May of 2005 Mayorga opted out and in September it was announced that ABLOOM had been put on hold. Mikey Doling soon got to work on the club circuit with INVITRO whilst Levon Sultanian and Jasan Radford returned to action with ONESIDEZERO.
