3 LEGGED DOGG, announced in mid 2004, involved a quartet of pedigree players including ex-QUIET RIOT guitarist Carlos Cavazo, former WILD HORSES, DIO, WW III and RAINBOW bassist Jimmy Bain, singer Chas West of BONHAM and LYNCH MOB, Brian Young from the DAVID LEE ROTH band and erstwhile DIO and BLACK SABBATH drummer Vinny Appice.

Tracks were recorded in April 2005 with producer Greg Hampton. Perris Records issued the debut album, entitled 'Frozen Summer', in August 2006. Shortly afterwards, West, Cavazo, Bain and Appice got on the road with covers band HOLLYOOD ALLSTARZ. The drummer subsequently rejoined his BLACK SABBATH cohorts Ronnie James Dio, TONY IOMMI and Geezer Butler for touring as HEAVEN AND HELL throughout 2007.
