ZANISTER is another in the long line of projects from the ever prolific guitarist DAVID T. CHASTAIN, best known for his acts CJSS and CHASTAIN. ZANISTER also include ex-TYRANT, LEATHER, SURGEON and ARCH RIVAL guitarist MICHAEL HARRIS. ZANISTER, also comprising erstwhile REIGN OF TERROR singer Brian Sarvela, bassist James Martin and with drums supplied by Michael Harris' brother and MY OWN VICTIM member Brian Harris, debuted with 'Symphonica Mellennia' during 1999.

The 2000 record 'Fear No Man', released domestically on Chastain's own Leviathan label, saw a European issue through the German Shark concern.

During 2004 James Martin formed up a new band unit entitled KINRICK fronted by ex-FIREWIND and KENZINER frontman Stephen Fredrick. Working once again with producer DAVID T. CHASTAIN on the album 'Sense Your Darkness' the band also included VAINGLORY guitarist Corbin King and drummer Stian Kristoffersen of PAGAN'S MIND and FIREWIND.
