In September 2008 the SANCTUARY and NEVERMORE credited guitarist and songwriter Jeff Loomis. Loomis held a prior tradition of recording in Appleton, Wisconsin, first as a teenager with Heavy Metal act FEAR-TECH, which recorded a solitary, four track demo in 1987. Loomis subsequently joined SYSTEM, for a 1988 demo, then EXPERIMENT FEAR prior to relocating to Washington. Loomis opened up his solo career with the Neil Kernon produced album 'Zero Order Phase'.

Featured studio musicians included guitarist Pat O'Brien, from NEVERMORE and CANNIBAL CORPSE, on 'Rage Against Disaster' ATTENTION DEFICIT bassist Michael Manring on the song 'Cashmere Shiv' and drummer Mark Arrington, previously of NEVERMORE. Ron Jarzombek, of WATCHTOWER repute, contributed a guitar solo to the track 'Jato Unit'.
