New Jersey Hard Rock outfit TRIXTER never could quite distance themselves from the fact that they had apparently been signed and been successful virtually straight out of high school. However, besides the then 17 year old bassist P.J. Farley, TRIXTER, also comprising vocalist Peter Loran, guitarist Steve Brown and drummer Mark 'Gus' Scott, were found to be in fact older than their press statements claimed. Neil Adams, who had inked a good deal of 'Batman' comic books, was engaged to work on the album cover. At the same time Adams also worked on the band's biography which, unusually, was presented in comic book form.

Having achieved Gold status with the Bill Wray produced eponymously titled album, released in 1990, the group toured with the SCORPIONS and WARRANT prior to returning to the studio to cut the highly underrated 'Hear' album in 1992.

An album of covers was recorded and issued through Backstreet Records in 1994 that was an attempt to show their musical diversity, the material ranging from NINE INCH NAILS' 'Terrible Lie', and AC/DC's 'Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap' to ELVIS COSTELLO's 'Pump It Up'. A latter day TRIXTER line-up saw Tom coombs, of HADES repute, manning the drums.

Bassist P.J. Farley and guitarist Steve Brown created THROWAN ROCKS. This band, after some personnel changes, became SOAKED in 1999. The pair were subsequently found to be in 40 FT. RINGO, releasing a 2003 album 'Funny Thing' through Atenzia Records, and covers band SUGARBELLY. It would be announced in September 2005 that 40FT RINGO members Steve Brown and Brian Gabriel had evolved the band into a new trio entitled STEREO FALLOUT.

In January 2006 it was learned that Pete Loran had contributed guest vocals to Christian Rock project LIBERTY N' JUSTICE's album 'Soundtrack Of A Soul', sharing vocals on the track 'Thy Will Be Done' with SLAUGHTER's Mark Slaughter.

TRIXTER returned in 2008 with the concert album 'Alive In Japan', recorded during the bands 1993 Japanese Tour at Club Citta in Kawasaki, Tokyo. The band performed at the massive 'Rocklahoma' festival in Pryor, Oklahoma on July 12th alongside WARRANT and CINDERELLA then the Cadott, Wisconsin 'Rock Fest' on the 17th flanking BOSTON and POISON and the Eagle River, Wisconsin 'Hi Pines Music Festival' with FIREHOUSE on the 26th.
